Before completing the registration for the 2026-2027 season, please read all the information below:

Season: September 8, 2026 - March 5, 2027.

To join the swim team at the Y, you must have a facility membership. Please visit the link to view the membership levels: https://ymcaatlanta.org/join

If this is your swimmer's first time on our swim team or if you want to advance to a different practice group, an evaluation is required. Please see the evaluation dates below. All evaluations will be held at our Indoor Pool on the dates and times listed. Swimmers only need to attend one evaluation session. After the scheduled evaluation, simply return to the website to complete your registration.

Evaluation Dates:

• Tuesday, August 18 - 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
• Thursday, August 20 - 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
• Saturday, August 22 - 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Practice groups time and pricing:

A $25 non-refundable deposit is required for each swimmer at the time of registration to reserve their spot on the team. Monthly payments will begin on the first Friday of September 2026 and will continue on the first Friday of each month thereafter. The final payment will be processed on December 4, 2026. As a member of the YMCA of Atlanta, we offer our participants the opportunity to apply for financial aid at the Y. For more information on applying, please visit the front desk. 

For this season, any additional swimmer you register will receive a discount of $10 per month on the lowest-priced practice group. You must register both siblings at the same time to receive this discount. This discount does not apply to scholarships. This discount is only good for one swimmer. 

Little Fins: The swimmer must be able to follow directions, swim on the front 15 yards unassisted, swim safely to the wall/ lane rope or roll on their back and put their face underwater. Once the swimmer is able to swim the whole length of the pool unassisted, they will be able to participate in swim meets. Also, they will have the opportunity to advance to the next practice group. This will be determined and communicated by the Head Coach.

Tuesday, Thursday 4:15 pm - 4:45 pm// 4-monthly payments of $90 will cover (6) months of swim team.

Bronze:

Swimmers must be able to follow directions, swim 25 meters of freestyle and backstroke, knowledge of rotary breathing and have the endurance to complete an hour of practice.

Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 4:45 pm - 5:45 pm// 4-monthly payments of $135 will cover (6) months of swim team.

Silver:

Swimmers must be able to follow directions, swim 25 meters of freestyle (with rotary breathing) and backstroke and demonstrate skills in breaststroke & butterfly.

Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 5:45 pm - 6:45 pm// 4-monthly payments of $135 will cover (6) months of swim team.

Gold:

Swimmers must be able to follow directions, complete 100 meters of freestyle and demonstrate all four strokes legally.

Monday 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 6:45 pm - 7:45 pm// 4-monthly payments of $160 will cover (6) months of swim team.

Platinum:

For the more serious athlete. Swimmers must be able to follow directions, complete 200 meters of freestyle and demonstrate all four strokes legally.

Monday 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm,  Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 6:45 pm - 7:45 pm// 4-monthly payments of $160 will cover (6) months of swim team.
