Hello Dolphins,

Please take a second to read all the information regarding tomorrow's mock meet. This meat is designed for swimmers to get times and for our parent volunteers to practice in different volunteer positions.

Timeline for tomorrow:

Warm up: 5:30 pm

Volunteer Meeting: 5:40 PM

The meet will start at 6:00 PM

To replicate a swim meet, we will have a small concession serving hot dogs, chips, and drinks. Cash only!

Items for the parents to bring to a swim meet:

• Snacks.

• Waters

• Cash (All summer swim teams have a concession)

• Chairs (The parents will need to bring their chairs to most meets. There is no seating. For example, at our home meets, we will take up all the lounge chairs, so you will need to bring your own. Most people purchase camping chairs. They're easy to fold up and store in your car throughout the summer for easy access.)

Items for swimmers to bring:

• Snacks

• Waters

• Extra goggles, swimsuit, and swim cap

• Two to three towels (You will want one towel to put down on the ground to save your spot)

To replicate how a real swim meet will run, we will practice by sitting on our side of the pool. Please see the attached image of where the Home and Away team will sit. Our team for home meets will be on the other side of the pool, where the trees are.

Due to late entries and wanting to allow everyone to sign up for this meet, the heat sheets will be emailed by noon tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be a speedy swim meet as it is only our team. That being said, we need your help volunteering for any open positions. We are here to help and teach you your position. We want everyone to participate, so you feel comfortable and know what is expected of your volunteer position once we get to the regular season meets starting next week. Erin and I will be at the check-in table with the list of open positions. You will hear this often this season, but we cannot run a successful swim meet without our parent volunteers.
