Parent Meeting Recap

Hello Dolphins,
Today, during each practice, we had a quick parent meeting to review everything about the season. I wanted to send this email regarding everything that was discussed and a little more.
We will communicate through email and push notifications throughout the season through the SwimTopia app. Please download the app; you will login with the email and password you created during registration.

Swim Team calendar:
The swim team calendar can be found on our website, labeled TEAM CALENDER. Here, you can find out the practice schedule and events throughout the season: swim meets, Pictrue Day, fun Friday, etc.
Swim Meets:
Login to our team website to accept or decline each swim meet. You can pick 3 events they would like to swim. This is your recommendation. This could change by our coaching staff. Leaving the events blank would indicate to the coaches they will pick for your swimmer. You can also add a note that will go to coach Phyllis to help her build the meet. All meet entries are due the Friday of the week before the meet.
Volunteering:
To run a successful swim meet, we need the help of our parent volunteers. Each family must commit to three full swim meets for this season. The mock meet does not count towards the three meets.
We are also seeking parents interested in becoming certified stroke and turn judges. This position requires virtual training and can be completed at your own pace. Please send me an email for information regarding this training.
Other volunteer positions needed:
- Lane Timer
- Runner (collects timer sheets and gives them to computer people)
- Bathroom monitor
- Check-in (checks swimmers and volunteers in)
- Concessions
- Computer
- Bullpen and staging (Helps organize swimmers for their event)
- Ribbons
Next week, I will be sending out an email regarding donations needed to stock the concession for the two home meets. We will send out a list of the last names and the items that must be purchased.
Lastly, we will move practice to the indoor pool to start having the swimmers dive off the blocks. All fun team events, such as pool parties and fun Fridays, will be at the outdoor pool.
